About this text prefix & suffix batch adder

Text Prefix & Suffix Batch Adder — browser-based utility.

How this tool works

Implements client-side Text Prefix & Suffix Batch Adder operations. Iterates line by line, appending defined prefix and suffix strings to non-empty entries specifically designed for an sql developer wraps a list of raw table identifiers in quotes and commas for an `in (...)` query.

  1. Line Stream Ingestion & Normalization: Splits input text on universal newline boundaries (CRLF, LF, CR) into indexed line arrays.
  2. Hashing & Set Intersection: Indexes unique lines in HashSets for rapid set comparison and deduplication.
  3. Sequential Filtering & Collation: Applies trimming, case-folding, sorting (ASCII or natural alphabetical), or prefix/suffix concatenation.
  4. Output Reconstruction: Joins result lines with user-selected line separators, providing item counts and reduction percentages.

Worked example

Scenario: Add fixed text around two nonblank lines.

Sample input:

one two with pre-|;-end

Processing: Split second input at pipe and wrap nonempty lines.

Illustrative output:

pre-one;-end pre-two;-end

Limits and verification

Handles multi-megabyte text payloads up to browser heap limits (~50-100 MB). Normalizes varied Unicode characters before comparison if case-insensitive mode is active. Preserves empty lines when configured.

Examples demonstrate an expected workflow; they do not prove every input or every branch of an external specification. Check important results with an independent source before using them for money, security, compliance, safety, or irreversible file changes.

Browser processing boundary

Tool input is processed by code running in the browser and is not intentionally sent to a CZOA processing API. The page can still request ordinary site assets, analytics, or advertising when those services are enabled. Browser extensions and managed-device software remain outside this tool's control.

  2. Review available parameter fields, units, formats, or options configured for your task.
  3. Click the action button or observe immediate live calculations rendered in your browser runtime.
  4. Inspect the resulting output and any diagnostic messages, then copy or download the result if needed.

Frequently asked questions

How are prefix and suffix values supplied?+

The second field splits at `|` into prefix and suffix; only the first two pieces are used. Each nonempty input line becomes prefix plus line plus suffix.

What happens to blank lines?+

Blank lines remain blank because the mapper checks the original line truthiness. For prefix `pre-` and suffix `;-end`, `one` and `two` become `pre-one;-end` and `pre-two;-end`.

What are the delimiter limits?+

A literal pipe separates the two values, so additional pipes are ignored after the second segment. It does not escape values, parse CSV, trim input lines, or support distinct rules per line.

Does the prefix and suffix operation send text or change files?+

It maps the supplied lines locally in this browser and displays the resulting text. It does not upload the entered text or inspect, rename, or change files.
